How To Run A Quick And Highly Effective Daily Meeting
We all spend far too much time in Meetings that go nowhere, are poorly planned, badly managed and achieve nothing other than wasting time and incurring cost.
Try using the following four questions for your Daily Meeting, designed specifically to keep things very brief but very effective:
- What work was completed yesterday and was it what we expected?
- Did we experience any new problems or issues we have not seen before?
- If there are problems or issues what can we do in the short term to resolve them?
- Are we sure everyone on the Team knows what their work will be for the day?
Daily meetings do not have to be a long process – keeping it short but effective maintains a strong, practical and operational focus.
