Enthusiasm – an ability to motivate the team.

Confidence – gaining the confidence of the team and having confidence in both the individual members of that team and the collective effort of the team.

Integrity  – demonstrating loyalty to the team and receiving as expected loyalty from the individual team members and the collective team.

Courage – being able to accept challenges and take responsibility for the delivery of allocated tasks but also being honest in communicating this and trusting in the team to assist and deliver

This is a very short and abridged model and you could add in any number of further qualities or sub-qualities: however if you identify a leader with whom you are familiar who regularly delivers on promises they will almost certainly practice the above Qualities before anything else.
