Poorly written Mission Statements show a poor organisation that is likely to struggle and if it was the family pet you would certainly have to think about putting old Rover out of his misery.

So what’s a business to do? Follow the KISS model when writing this critical mantra for your organisation; Keep It Simple and assume the reader is Stupid. 

KISS.

Great example would be The Smithsonian who brilliantly penned “The increase and diffusion of knowledge”. Simple and effective what more could a user need to know?

The USA Humane Society came up with “Celebrating Animals, Confronting Cruelty”. Great stuff.
