The Five Purposes Of Meetings

There can only really be four reasons why meetings take place – these at=re listed below.

If YOUR meeting does not fall into one of these five categories think again on why you want the meeting and what it is set to achieve.

Just like weddings and parties people never remember a good meeting but hey will always remember a bad one!

  1. To exchange information.
  2. To make decisions.
  3. To release tensions.
  4. To form attitudes.
  5. To instruct or to teach.

These purposes are not mutually exclusive for example a meeting to bring together resources and information may simultaneously relieve tensions in the workplace!
